IQC#17--- Quillography -- DT Post

Hi friends,

My husband's birthday was on 22nd June. So this time I tried quillography to wish him Happy Birthday.

I started with first doing the outline. I was not sure what to do later. Then I decided to make desk card.  Once "Happy Birthday" is quilled I filled it with different patterns.












Quilling is done using 3 mm strips.

Quilled Rakhis

Hi Friends, Rakshabandhan festival is on 2nd August 2012. This festival is celebrated mainly in India. On this festival, sister tie a rakhi (thread) on her brother's wrist.   This symbolizes the sister's love and prayers for her brother's well-being, and the brother's lifelong vow to protect her.  Below are the quilled rakhis made by me.
