Dare to Fly

Namaste Everyone! Today, I am so happy to share my DT project which I made for  splashy mix challenge wi th you  all.    I upcycled a chocolate box. I decorated the lid with mixed media.  Firstly, I applied gesso all over the lid. then I did stenciling with texture paste. Once it dried I pasted corrugated sheets, lace, chipboards, a piece of wine cover etc  with heavy gel medium. I again applied white gesso on it.  I  decided to keep birds as the focal point so pasted it with chipboard  and again to teal color paper to  give some dimension to it.  I used art pebbles,  pearls and stones for adding more texture.  Added sisal to give volume  to the project.  Added the sentiment to give the project more meaning. I added flowers to the project. To add more  volume I added more flowers, leaves and  few more butterflies...

You can gift him on any other occasion also. I am sure he will love it and cherish forever. Things you will need : 1. one color card paper for card measuring 12 in by 8 in. 2. contrast card paper measuring 4.5 in by 4.5 in to make tie. 3. A pair of scissors 4. Glue 5. Scale Here's what you do: Take card paper and fold it into half to get 6 in by 8 in. Upcycling Wooden Furniture

Image
Namaste friends, Hope you all are doing great. Today I am sharing how I upcycled my shoe rack using decoupage technique. I had this wooden shoe rack which because of dust and rains got patchy and was not looking nice. So, I decided to give it a makeover. Firstly, if you are working with furniture then first step is to sand it properly. If its old one then this step is more important. Sanding removes old paint, dust and makes the surface smooth. After sanding I have applied gesso all over. I have used Camlin gesso. Then I have applied directly the lemon chiffon (light yellow) shade of chalk paint from Itsy Bitsy. My this rack is kept in my balcony so thought to decoupage it with flowers which can go with my plants kept around in the balcony. To decoupage first select the design tissue and tear the design which you want to stick. Then you have to apply decoupage glue on the surface where you have to stick decoupage tissue. Generally the tissues are ...
